Job Description

Seeking a Web Application Administrator with experience in Oracle technologies and Apache Tomcat to support and maintain critical web applications, ensuring reliability, security, and optimal performance. This is a 6 month contract to hire and requires a Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain web application platforms, primarily focused on Oracle technologies and Apache Tomcat
• Deploy, monitor, and optimize web applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, database, and server-related issues
• Manage Oracle APEX environments, REST APIs, and Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) configurations
• Oversee Oracle Database 19c integrations
• Perform patching, upgrades, and backups
• Configure and manage Apache Tomcat servers
• Administer and support additional web application servers such as JBOSS
• Implement and maintain best practices for server monitoring, maintenance, and security
• Collaborate with developers, database administrators, and other IT teams
• Provide recommendations for system improvements, upgrades, and performance optimization
• Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures
• Provide end-user support and training
• Stay updated with emerging technologies

Requirements

• Experience in Oracle technologies (e.g., ORDS, Oracle APEX access, REST APIs, or Oracle Database 19c) and Apache Tomcat
• Experience with SharePoint and/or JBOSS
• Proactive individual with a deep understanding of web application administration
• Ability to manage and troubleshoot complex environments
• Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance
