Octus is seeking a Corporate Counsel to work in their New York office, offering a high degree of responsibility and autonomy within a fast-growing global company.
Responsibilities
Negotiate and draft commercial agreements
Provide legal and strategic advice on US legal matters
Build relationships with the Commercial team and other stakeholders
Develop and maintain expertise in current legal issues
Drive and contribute to legal projects
Requirements
J.D. with a strong academic record
New York Bar admission or ability to waive in
2+ years’ experience at a major law firm and/or in-house
Experience in reviewing and negotiating SaaS and/or data licensing contracts
Keen commercial awareness and ability to provide actionable advice
Excellent people skills
Sound and practical judgment in managing legal risks
Ability to work independently and as a team player
