Job Description

The Senior Staff Product Manager, AI will lead product strategy and execution for Temporal in the AI space, requiring deep technical expertise and understanding of AI and distributed systems. Responsibilities include developing roadmaps, identifying market opportunities, and driving execution to empower AI customers on the Temporal platform.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the AI roadmap, aligning with company goals and customer priorities
• Drive go-to-market strategies and support marketing and sales efforts
• Identify and address gaps in the Temporal platform relevant to AI customers
• Sequence features and map them to different market segments
• Conduct competitive analyses
• Identify areas for partnership and develop partnerships strategy
• Provide execution strategies to solve distributed systems challenges for AI customers
• Partner with engineering teams to address scalability, reliability, and latency issues
• Identify and develop features to enable AI customers to write and deploy intelligent agents
• Work closely with customers to understand their challenges and design solutions

Requirements

• Product leadership in building products from scratch
• Technical expertise in distributed systems and workflow orchestration
• In-depth knowledge of the AI landscape, including LLMs and intelligent agents
• Familiarity with agentic apps and frameworks
• Hands-on experience with SDK design
• Strong ability to work collaboratively across teams
• Excellent communication skills
• Demonstrated success in balancing long-term strategic goals with short-term execution priorities
• Analytical mindset to evaluate trade-offs and make data-driven decisions
