Job Description

SkyGrid, a Boeing Company, seeks a System and Software Validation and Verification Lead in Austin, TX to oversee system validation, verification, and integration within the aerospace industry. The role involves leading a team, developing strategies, and ensuring seamless integration.

Responsibilities

• Define and document system integration, validation, and verification strategy
• Oversee and execute system integration, validation, and verification activities
• Develop system validation and verification plans, procedures, and reports
• Identify system and subsystem test setup, instrumentation, and environment
• Provide technical oversight for a team of engineers
• Develop program strategy for system integration, validation, and verification
• Lead program planning and execution of system integration, validation, and verification activities
• Develop and deploy requirements development and verification processes
• Lead the design of test setup, instrumentation, environment, and coverage
• Implement manual and automated testing approaches and methodologies
• Enforce documentation of test plans, procedures, and simulation environments
• Manage verification testing of multiple software and hardware configurations
• Collaborate with external customers in integration and testing activities
• Participate in Critical Design Reviews and conduct Test Readiness Reviews

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering or related STEM degree
• 10+ years of experience in a highly technical, aerospace-related industry
• 5+ years of experience as technical team lead with responsibilities covering integration, validation, verification, and qualification of complex avionics or terrestrial systems
• Experience with SAE ARP 4754A or equivalent
• Relevant experience with the architectural aspects of a simulation environment
• Advanced Engineering degree (Masters) from an accredited institution (Preferred)
• Familiarity with RTCA DO-178C, DO-254, and DO-331 (Preferred)
• Familiarity with integrating and testing client-server architectures and cloud technologies (Preferred)
