Job Description

Seeking a Power Electronics Electrical Engineer to design grid-tied power converters, from schematics to production. The role involves electrical hardware design, manufacturing, root cause analysis, and supplier visits. The ideal candidate has experience with prototype to manufacturing and building safe, efficient, and compliant systems.

Responsibilities

• Own electrical hardware design for a significant part of a grid tied inverter
• Schematic, PCB Layout, PCB and PCBA release
• Manufacturing ramp
• Root cause analysis
• Supplier visits for quality control

Requirements

• 2+ years expertise designing grid tied or similar power converters
• Strong electrical engineering fundamentals
• Strong fundamentals of electrical layout and magnetic design
• Strong fundamentals of EMC design
• Strong working knowledge of UL 1741, IEEE 1547 a huge plus
• Four year college degree in Engineering, math, physics, or similar
