Job Description

Base Power is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to contribute to the design and launch of manufacturing lines to produce cutting-edge battery storage systems. The role involves working with cross-functional teams to develop high-quality and efficient manufacturing equipment and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop equipment and processes for prototype builds and high-volume production
  • Procure necessary equipment and collaborate with integrators
  • Manage suppliers through specification, design, and installation
  • Design efficient production workstation layouts
  • Provide DFM input to improve processes and yield outcomes
  • Create manufacturing instructions and documentation

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Mechanical/Manufacturing/Design Engineer
  • Experience using 2D and 3D CAD tools
  • Experience with conveyance, workstation design, robotic systems, adhesive dispensing, DC fastening tools, or automated functional testing
  • Experience with GD&T and system stack up analysis
  • Experience creating technical specifications for automated manufacturing equipment
  • Experience providing Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Automation (DFA)
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
