The Assistant Treasurer will support the US Treasury team with a focus on cash management, borrowing and investing, systems development, and business partnering with WPP’s Agencies.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily cash positioning and forecasting
Optimize cash flow
Collaborate with finance teams to improve cash flow forecasting
Administer bank accounts
Ensure regulatory compliance
Oversee daily cash management operations
Oversee short-term investment and borrowing activities
Support other corporate finance activities
Support the optimization and standardization of the global treasury management system
Assist with the integration of treasury data and reporting
Collaborate on treasury-related projects
Administer banking portal
Build relationships with CFOs and Finance leaders
Develop relations with WPP’s relationship banks
Help with the integration, development, and reporting in the central treasury system
Assist in identifying and mitigating financial risks
Support the implementation and monitoring of FX hedging strategies
Contribute to regular treasury risk and other reporting
Requirements
Bachelor's or master’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related field
Professional certifications such as CTP, CFA, CPA, or MBA are desirable
Minimum 10 years of experience in a treasury or finance role within a multinational company
Knowledge of treasury management principles
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Experience in managing liquidity, financial analysis, and team leadership
CFA, CTP or MBA or any relevant Accounting/Treasury or Risk related qualification is a plus
Experience with treasury management systems is a plus
Experience in Power Platform is a plus
Experience in the media, advertising, or a related sector is a plus
