Job Description

An Onsite Services Installer completes full integration of Point-of-Sale systems and peripherals at merchant locations, coordinates with merchants and Installation Coordinator, trains clients on POS ecosystems, and acquires an in depth understanding of the entire merchant processing industry.

Responsibilities

  • Installation, Configuration, and Training on software packages
  • Site Surveys/ Network Troubleshooting
  • Repair/replacement of network cabling
  • Hardware/Software Troubleshooting
  • Test hardware, software, and credit card processing
  • Post-installation documentation and photos
  • Work flexible hours including on call, early mornings, late nights, and weekends
  • Practice safe driving habits
  • Communicate effectively on the phone, emails, and work orders
  • Tracking of expenses and submitting monthly expense reports
  • Provide installation and feedback on new software/hardware while in beta testing
  • Inventory management of equipment and requisition
  • Participate in recurring training of Shift4 product suite

Requirements

  • Good driving record
  • Willingness to travel on short notice
  • Able to work well with hand tools
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Experience running in wall and exposed cabling
  • Technician background dealing with network/computer troubleshooting or installation
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in software, such as Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Docs
  • Friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing demeanor
  • Ability to learn and retain new information and concepts quickly
  • Ability to follow directions and strong follow up
  • Proven good judgment and proactive decision-making skills
  • Ability to adapt to change
