Flexport is seeking an Operations Manager to lead, manage, and develop a team in one of their fulfillment centers, shaping the future of logistics and contributing to global commerce.
Responsibilities
Lead, coach, manage, and develop a team of 200+ associates and 4+ salaried managers
Communicate and enforce policies and procedures
Create, manage, and support recognition programs
Implement and maintain safety programs
Establish and enforce procedures for building security and product loss prevention
Own and report on performance metrics
Set and uphold Service Level Agreement (SLA) expectations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve fulfillment-related issues
Act as the escalation point for risk mitigation and issue resolution
Identify gaps in inventory accuracy and drive strategic initiatives
Analyze defect rates and recommend operational improvements
Contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Work closely with the Growth and Engineering teams
Own CPU and cost metrics
Requirements
Minimum of 4 years of experience managing a team of 4 or more salaried individuals
Physical capability to lift up to 49 pounds
Willingness and ability to frequently engage in physically demanding tasks
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
Comfort working in an environment with varying noise levels
