Job Description

Lucid Motors is seeking a Staff HV & Battery Systems Engineer to join their team. This role involves developing the next generation HV system and architecture, leading a team in delivering HV system engineering deliverables, driving innovative technical solutions, and acting as a main interface between the HV systems team and stakeholders. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in HV systems, battery systems, or automotive industries and a strong understanding of high voltage automotive systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop the next generation HV system and architecture
• Lead a team in delivering HV system engineering deliverables
• Drive innovative technical solutions
• Derive powertrain requirements and perform customer-facing attributes
• Act as main interface between the HV systems team and stakeholders
• Collaborate with program team to develop efficient processes
• Create and maintain documentation strategy

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in HV systems, battery systems, and/or automotive industries
• Expertise in HV distribution, power conversion, thermal management, battery energy storage, passive safety, or battery management
• Solid understanding of engineering first principles and system engineering
• Fundamental understanding of battery technology, high-voltage safety and controls
• Experience performing or participating in FMEA and building DVP&R for high voltage systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to solve open-ended engineering problems
• Detail-oriented personality with solid documentation and reporting skills
