Job Description

Lucid Motors is seeking a Sr. Engineer, Safety Electronics to lead the development and implementation of safety electronics systems. The role involves defining performance requirements, managing suppliers, integrating systems into the vehicle architecture, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle electrical systems, safety technologies, and engineering fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Own safety sub-systems and components
• Define performance requirements and validation plans
• Manage Tier 1 suppliers
• Function as the main technical point of contact for supplier interfaces
• Work with vehicle electrical integration team
• Work with diagnostics and cyber security teams
• Support vehicle homologation team

Requirements

• Proven track record in vehicle electrical system development
• Knowledge of latest technology advancement in vehicle crash safety
• Experience in vehicle networks and topologies
• Experience of vehicle on-board diagnostics implementations
• Engineering fundamentals in problem solving
• Ability to articulate technical issues
• Excellent people skills
• Working understanding and application of project planning
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent writing, verbal and organization skills
• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 5+ years of experience or Master's degree with 3+ years of experience
