Job Description

Lucid Motors is seeking an experienced Glazing and Mechanisms Specialist to design and develop glazing and mechanisms systems for luxury electric vehicles, focusing on styling and functionality. The role involves leading the packaging, engineering design, release, and launch of exterior systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead or play a leading role in packaging, engineering design, release, and launch of glazing and mechanisms
• Create exterior systems focusing on quality, reliability, functionality, mass, and cost efficiency
• Work interactively within a cross-functional team
• Employ and develop engineering tools and an innovative approach
• Act as a mentor to junior engineers

Requirements

• 10+ years of related experience
• Experience in vehicle glazing and mechanisms design & development
• Experience with glazing, wipers, mirrors, thermoplastic & thermoset resin materials and class A manufacturing technologies
• Proven experience creating complex CAD schemes and models
• Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or relevant engineering discipline
