Job Description

Nevados seeks a Sales Director to lead utility-scale solar sales efforts, develop strategies, build client relationships, and identify new business opportunities. The role involves driving revenue growth, managing a sales team, and collaborating with internal teams. The ideal candidate will have deep industry knowledge and a proven track record in solar or renewable energy sales.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for utility-scale solar projects
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver competitive proposals
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Lead negotiations for large-scale power purchase agreements and project sales
  • Represent the company at industry conferences and customer meetings
  • Manage a high-performing sales team
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity
  • Deliver accurate sales forecasts and key performance metrics
  • Work closely with project development and engineering teams
  • Collaborate with the finance team to structure deals

Requirements

  • 10+ years of sales or business development experience in the renewable energy sector, with at least 5 years focused on utility-scale solar
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Proven ability to close large-scale, complex deals
  • Strong understanding of utility-scale solar technologies, project financing, and regulatory frameworks
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel as needed
