The Head of Corporate Strategy will shape Upwork’s long-term strategic direction, partnering with senior leadership to enhance market position, drive growth, and increase shareholder value. This role involves developing corporate strategy, providing thought leadership, conducting research and analysis, managing projects, and leading a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop corporate strategy
• Partner with senior leaders to identify strategic priorities
• Provide insights on emerging trends
• Advise leaders on critical decisions
• Conduct market and competitive analysis
• Manage cross-functional initiatives
• Prepare materials for stakeholders
• Manage and mentor a team

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in corporate strategy or related field
• Experience in technology, marketplaces, or Human Capital Management preferred
• Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Organized and proactive
• MBA or quantitative degree preferred
