Job Description

Huntress is seeking a Principal Security Researcher with expert knowledge of the Google ecosystem to lead security capabilities, conduct research, investigate threats, and develop solutions to protect businesses. The role involves collaboration with product, engineering, and security teams to build and implement effective security measures.

Responsibilities

  • Lead security capabilities, owning the layered defense strategy
  • Conduct research and development for threat detection and identity security
  • Investigate identity compromise and attacker behavior
  • Hunt threat actors in Google Workspace audit logs
  • Test attack paths and solve for identity hijacking
  • Develop Proof-of-Concept (PoC) exploits
  • Identify and prototype telemetry data
  • Analyze and reverse engineer software
  • Distinguish between suspicious and malicious login events
  • Elevate and nurture cross-department relationships
  • Document research findings
  • Identify improvement opportunities
  • Coordinate with teams to integrate solutions
  • Partner with various teams
  • Promote Huntress’ reputation
  • Educate the public on security

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of Google ecosystem including logs, APIs, and multi-tenant environments
  • Expertise in Google security products
  • Proof of Concept (POC) development
  • Comfortable reading API documentation
  • Understanding of how MSPs utilize IT automation tools
  • Innovator builder mindset
  • Expert knowledge of Google Workspace organizational units, group permissions, settings & APIs
  • Expert knowledge of Google Workspace security policies
  • Expert knowledge of managing security settings
  • Security conference presenters and community educators preferred
