Job Description

Appian is seeking an experienced Capture Manager to work alongside their Department of Defense Sales team to drive higher PWin on strategic opportunities. The Capture Manager will be responsible for developing all aspects of Appian's capture from inception to award.

Responsibilities

  • Drive opportunities from inception to award
  • Bring industry best practices to guide Appian resources
  • Identify a portfolio of potential programs
  • Develop win themes, strategies, value propositions, and differentiators
  • Work with all areas of the company to support solutions
  • Support the Proposal Manager and Solutions team
  • Assess and update competitor capabilities
  • Share responsibility with Account Executive for winning the opportunity
  • Establish acquisition and teaming selection criteria
  • Develop expectations for moving forward
  • Identify potential capture risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Conduct post-RFP reviews

Requirements

  • 10+ years of directly related experience
  • Experience closing deals over $10M in annual revenue in the Unrestricted Federal IT Technology and Services space
  • Analytical skills in business development, capture management, and procurement strategy
  • Communication skills for working relationships and presentations
  • Experience in analyzing and selecting teaming partners
  • Established relationships with Department of Defense government customers
  • Demonstrated acquisition knowledge of US government procurement practices
  • Thorough knowledge of the Business Development/ program Capture lifecycle
