As a Sr. Controls Engineer at Mujin, you will design, implement, and optimize control systems for advanced industrial automation solutions, contributing to the integration of hardware and software for efficient robotic systems.
Responsibilities
Develop control system architectures for material handling and robotic applications
Design, program, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and motion control systems
Develop and optimize control algorithms for robotic movements and safety features
Integrate sensors, actuators, and communication protocols
Conduct system testing, validation, and commissioning
Provide technical support to field service teams
Stay up to date with industry trends
Complete commissioning of complex systems
Understand schematics and control panels
Provide recommendations for productivity improvement and cost reduction
Utilize best practices in writing PLC programs
Guide technical interchange and knowledge transfer
Apply advanced skills to resolve complex problems
Display critical thinking in resolving complex problems
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
7+ years of experience in controls engineering
Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen Bradley and/or Rockwell)
Experience with writing functional safety programming
