Job Description

The EHS Coordinator plans, develops, and implements health, safety, and environmental programs, performs safety audits, and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures. They work cross-functionally to identify and correct potential risks, conduct employee training, and manage various processes related to safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor safety and compliance of operations and employees
  • Implement standards and SOPs
  • Implement company policies and best practices
  • Collaborate with management on concerns and violations
  • Manage processes like NDA and Chemical Approval
  • Investigate and create correction plans for risks
  • Train employees and create a cohesive team
  • Analyze facility trends for improvement
  • Compile monthly summaries
  • Audit activities and document
  • Work with vendors to ensure safety
  • Implement safety programs
  • Support onboarding and training
  • Stay updated on regulations
  • Develop and update EHS programs
  • Lead site safety committee
  • Manage first responder, safety, and engagement programs
  • Be aware of hazards and report incidents
  • Comply with safety requirements and PPE
  • Follow GMP, biosecurity, sanitation, and quality requirements
  • Perform accurate record keeping
  • Maintain and calibrate tools and equipment
  • Report and escalate safety and quality concerns

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in related field preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of work experience
  • 6 months experience in operational environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • High level of critical thinking
  • Professionalism and integrity
  • Understanding of company policies and procedures
  • Understanding of Cannabis laws, rules, and regulations
  • Effective time-management and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Valid state ID and driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain state badging requirements
