Job Description

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for managing and enforcing all quality assurance and (QA) operations at GTI’s production facilities. The role involves developing and implementing quality assurance policies, product quality programs, risk management, product tracking, ingredient management, allergen and sanitation management, and product safety practices.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee QA department and ensure adherence to SOPs
  • Review and release batches according to procedures
  • Define, implement, and improve Quality Management System
  • Lead quality initiatives and maintain a compliant quality system
  • Implement and maintain sanitation and quality control practices
  • Adhere to HACCP, allergen, and sanitization programs
  • Review and approve product complaint investigations
  • Lead site Root Cause investigations
  • Adhere to positive product release and product safety programs
  • Evaluate and investigate 3rd party lab results
  • Lead Monthly Site Quality Review
  • Review and approve deviations and changes to SOPs
  • Manage non-conforming materials issues
  • Execute state required trainings
  • Track quality KPIs and execute corrective action plans
  • Manage, train, and develop QA/QC employees
  • Promote awareness and responsibility through training
  • Establish employee goals and provide performance feedback

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in a regulated production organization
  • FDA cGMP competency preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field required
  • 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience preferred
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Highly collaborative influencer
  • SQF, ISO, GMP, ASQ, HACCP or similar certification experience preferred
  • Experience using a QMS
  • Ability to deliver organizational goals and manage a team
  • Track record of engaging teams and creating a collaborative QA/QC culture
  • Experience leading root cause problem solving
  • Unassailable integrity and ethics
  • Understanding of Medical Marijuana laws and regulations
  • Pass background checks
  • Compliance with industry regulations
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Approved by state badging agency
