The Asset Protection Specialist is responsible for the security of all assets and property in the dispensary and the regulation of access to the premises.
Responsibilities
Protect individuals, property, and information
Protect property from theft, embezzlement, sabotage, trespassing, fire, and accidents
Observe and report unlawful activity
Control access to premises
Investigate and take appropriate lawful actions
Neutralize situations calmly
Watch for safety and fire hazards
Enforce company policies and procedures
Aid customers, employees, visitors, or the public
Perform requests within scope of security duties
Train new security hires, and inform staff of security procedures and policies
Requirements
Criminal Justice Degree or relevant experience preferred
Meet scheduling and availability requirements
Reliable, responsible, and dependable attendance
Must be 21 years or older
Pass all required background checks
Possess a valid driver’s license or state ID
Remain compliant with all legal or company regulations
Ability to perform tasks for prolonged periods
Training in firefighting, first aid or lifesaving drills a plus
Military, law enforcement, or security background a plus
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Ability to listen well and communicate effectively
Previous experience with POS systems
Understanding of applicable cannabis laws and regulations
Be able to follow instructions and incorporate constructive criticism
Operate with a high level of professionalism and integrity
