Job Description

The Solutions Engineer is a technical keystone throughout the sales cycle, working with prospects and customers to educate, empower, and ensure their success on the Cloudflare platform. They leverage technical expertise to find solutions, train customers, and support their long-term success. They act as a technical customer advocate, collaborating with various teams to create scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical keystone throughout the sales cycle
• Educate, empower, and ensure customer success on the Cloudflare platform
• Find best-fit solutions for prospects
• Train and onboard new customers
• Support the long-term success of customers
• Develop new firewall rules
• Craft performance caching and delivery strategies
• Create or repurpose internal tools and scripts for customers
• Work closely with every team at Cloudflare to create scalable solutions

Requirements

• Manage projects, work to deadlines, and prioritize
• Understand how the internet works (TCP/UDP, DNS)
• Understand Cyber Security concepts (WAF, Zero Trust, SASE)
• Previous experience in a sales or consulting role
• Demonstrated experience with a scripting language
• Experience building web applications
• Understanding of CSRF, XSS, and SQLi
• Understanding of regulatory requirements (PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOC-2)
• Understanding of LLMs
