WHOOP is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help scale their platform and build LLM-powered coaching features. The role involves backend engineering, API design, and system integration to create a cohesive coaching experience.
Responsibilities
Execute WHOOP's vision for a unified coaching platform
Contribute to backend development (Java, AWS, Postgres)
Collaborate with product and technical teams
Build software to solve cross-functional needs
Deliver features and PRs iteratively
Develop observability and evaluations for AI systems
Mentor developers and establish best practices
Gather technical requirements from Product and Marketing teams
Contribute to internal tooling development for AI Coach
Requirements
4+ years of experience in large-scale software systems
Experience in API design and development (Java preferred)
Experience in relational database design and development (SQL)
Experience productionalizing products built on top of LLMs
Strong skills in translating design specifications into applications
