Job Description

The Billing Strategy Lead, Payment Posting is responsible for monitoring and analyzing operational data metrics and works collaboratively with the payment posting team, other cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure optimal operational performance.

Responsibilities

• Participate in meetings to assess issues and identify improvements
• Support management of projects
• Monitor and track adherence of SOPs, SLAs, productivity and quality standards
• Analyze end-to-end billing workflows
• Understand upstream revenue cycle processes
• Evaluate self-pay, co-pay, payor plans, CPT codes, and billing processes
• Coordinate with multiple teams for process improvement
• Develop roadmaps for improving workflows and processes
• Perform in-depth reviews/audits
• Provide financial and business analytics
• Evaluate key performance indicators and provide reports
• Perform analytics functions using tools such as Excel and Power BI
• Analyze payment posting reimbursement trends
• Conduct complex data analysis and data interpretation
• Meet deadlines
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in revenue cycle management, healthcare billing, or related areas
• Strong understanding of payment posting workflows, claims processing, payor plans, and CPT codes
• Experience managing projects and reporting on project status
• Advanced proficiency with quantitative software programs
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with SQL is a plus
• Ability to define problems, collect and reconcile data, and validate data
