Discord is seeking a Senior Product Designer to improve the core product, focusing on making it the best place to hang out online and play games with friends. The role involves leading design efforts, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the design system, with a focus on creating user-friendly experiences for millions of users.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts from idea to market
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and peers
• Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
• Manage timelines and deliverables
• Influence strategy and scope of work
• Collaborate with designers across organizations
• Present and communicate designs to leadership
• Test, learn, and iterate on designs
• Maintain and contribute to the Design System library

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing consumer-focused products
• Proficiency in Figma and prototyping tools
• Portfolio showcasing design work for desktop and mobile
• Frequent personal use of Discord
• Ability to communicate ideas effectively
• Ability to guide product vision through design
• Ownership mindset with a bias towards action
• Experience working with a design system/library
