Job Description

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a HIL Test Engineer to design, develop, and execute automated Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test cases for vehicle control systems. The role involves modeling vehicle dynamics, setting up HIL test benches, validating control software, and collaborating with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute automated HIL test cases
• Model vehicle dynamics using simulation tools
• Set up and troubleshoot HIL test benches
• Validate control software for safety and performance
• Develop and tune feedback control loops
• Implement real-time models on embedded ECUs
• Support testing of vehicle subsystems
• Collaborate across engineering teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in related field
• 3-5 years of HIL testing experience
• Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink and Stateflow
• Understanding of vehicle control systems
• Experience with CAN/LIN communication protocols
• Strong debugging and diagnostic skills
• Familiarity with embedded software development lifecycle
