As Axon’s Supplier Development Engineer, you will provide Quality Engineering support for all Axon products, collaborating with suppliers, and ensuring quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
Audit supplier manufacturing and inspection processes
Engage in selection and evaluation activities of production suppliers
Ensure flow down of Axon Supplier Quality Manual
Assist with New Product Introduction (NPI)
Review product validation by supplier
Assess supplier inspection capabilities onsite
Evaluate supplier engineering drawings and specifications
Participate in measuring, reporting, and correcting supplier quality performance
Issue Non-Conformance Material Reports (NCMRs) and Supplier Corrective Action Report (SCAR)
Participate in creating remedial activities for suppliers
Communicate and monitor corrective actions
Provide feedback on supplier quality performance
Identify and solve complex problems
Identify measures of system performance
Analyze needs and product requirements to create designs
Conduct tests and inspections of products
Apply knowledge of engineering science and technology
Apply knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
1-3 years experience in manufacturing of mechanical parts
Knowledge of quality management system requirements (ISO9001, AS9100, TS16949)
Minimum two (2) years experience in first and second party audits
Ability to read and understand assembly drawings and schematics
Solid understanding of inspection processes
Excellent problem resolution and decision-making skills
Excellent written and oral communication in English
