The Real Time Operations (RTO) team at Axon is redefining how public safety professionals interact with real-time data through the Fusus web application. As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of frontend and full-stack engineers responsible for the Fusus web client.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers
• Drive technical direction, architecture decisions, and code quality
• Partner with Product and Design to translate user needs
• Define and evolve team processes
• Foster a strong engineering culture
• Lead planning, standups, retrospectives, and performance reviews
• Balance technical guidance and people leadership
• Advocate for performance, accessibility, and usability best practices
• Stay current on the latest trends in frontend development

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 8+ years of professional software development experience
• 2+ years in an engineering management or tech lead capacity
• Strong background in frontend development and web application architecture
• Hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks
• Deep understanding of browser fundamentals, performance optimization, and responsive design
• Experience working with RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with state management approaches
• Passion for great UX, accessibility, and building software that matters
