Job Description

As a Bid Strategist at Axon, you’ll develop targeted proposals to address customer needs and win complex, high-value bids. You will collaborate with senior internal stakeholders to provide strategic insight and guidance to shape highly competitive proposals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead bid strategy creation for complex opportunities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate win themes and differentiators
  • Provide strategic oversight to ensure proposal content communicates Axon’s strengths
  • Work with proposal managers and subject matter experts to ensure proposals clearly communicate Axon’s strengths
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure proposals are aligned with company strategy
  • Conduct market and competitor analyses to identify differentiators
  • Recommend and implement strategic enhancements within the bid strategy process
  • Identify and implement process improvements to make bids more competitive
  • Mentor and coach proposal managers to improve their strategic thinking
  • Promote a high-performance culture within proposal teams

Requirements

  • 7-10 years in bid strategy, proposal management, or strategic planning
  • Expertise in bid development, strategic analysis, and competitive positioning
  • Deep analytical ability to interpret market trends
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in bid management software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA or related) strongly preferred
  • APMP Professional-level certification strongly preferred
