Job Description

This client-facing role co-leads the Microsoft sales engagement process, spearheading the conversion of Microsoft customers from EAs to the Trace3 Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program. The role includes interfacing with sales regions, employee training, FinOps team strategy development, and increasing operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain knowledge of Microsoft licensing and Azure offerings, and awareness of AWS and GCP.
  • Align Trace3 FinOps and licensing solutions within these frameworks.
  • Provide expert advice on Microsoft agreement options, focusing on CSP, EA, and Open Value.
  • Assist in creating and executing sales engagement plans.
  • Support sales and technical teams in developing and presenting licensing solutions.
  • Conduct licensing environment assessments and audits.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to design and implement optimal licensing environments.
  • Manage relationships with Microsoft and internal key stakeholders.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Assist in delivering enablement sessions on Microsoft licensing.
  • Research, align, and implement technical and business enhancements.
  • Analyze new cloud provider and third-party tooling options.
  • Participate in strategic departmental planning.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of five years of sales support, accounting and/or business operations experience
  • 5-10 years of experience in Microsoft licensing programs and policies
  • Experience in consulting with customers on Microsoft solutions and measuring outcomes
  • Experience working in Microsoft partner channel with partners, distributors, and customers.
  • In depth knowledge of operational processes around Microsoft licensing programs
  • Experience with Microsoft CSP, EA, and Open Value programs
  • Experience with Partner Center and other Microsoft program tools and portals.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex licensing projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with customer business, finance, and technical teams.
  • Ability to efficiently manage and prioritize multiple projects and associated tasks.
  • Previous experience with cloud services.
