Job Description

Trace3 is seeking a Software Engineer with Kubernetes expertise to create and maintain Kubernetes clusters, implement DevSecOps tools, and integrate them for CI/CD. The role involves transitioning legacy software to cloud-based architecture, working within agile processes, and ensuring the availability of the DevSecOps pipeline. The position requires an Active Secret Security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain Kubernetes clusters
  • Install, configure, test, and maintain DevSecOps tools
  • Integrate and automate DevSecOps tools for CI/CD
  • Implement automation in cluster and tool creation
  • Implement processes and procedures for the DevSecOps Pipeline
  • Maintain the DevSecOps pipeline
  • Resolve DevSecOps pipeline issues
  • Provide recommendations and establish an initial DevSecOps environment
  • Transition from legacy software to cloud-based architecture
  • Develop code in accordance with coding and security standards
  • Work within agile processes
  • Communicate and interact with team members and customers
  • Support other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 3+ years of general work experience
  • 3+ years of experience with containerized and/or cloud platforms and implementing DevSecOps practices
  • 2+ years of experience deploying and maintaining VMWare Tanzu clusters
  • Experience with containerization and microservices
  • Experience of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and infrastructure as code (IAC) principles
  • Experience working with Kubernetes
  • Ability to recommend, configure, and maintain DevSecOps pipeline tools and environments, including OpenShift
  • Experience with transitioning from traditional on-premise development environment to a cloud environment
  • Cloud architecture experience
  • Software engineering experience in an OpenShift RedHat environment
  • In-depth knowledge of containers and Kubernetes
  • Expert in agile software engineering approaches
  • Willingness and ability to teach DevSecOps software engineering approaches to others
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Detail-Oriented
  • Active Secret Security clearance required
