Job Description

Debtwire is looking for a private credit reporter to generate scoops on new deals launched by direct lenders and private credit funds. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of finance and a willingness to study the dynamics driving the current boom in the private credit space. The position will offer the opportunity for travel and moderating at conferences.

Responsibilities

• break news and deliver actionable intelligence on direct lending by private credit firms
• investigative mindset and good writing skills
• understanding of fixed income markets and broader financial and legal markets
• networking and contact building skills
• excellent time management and communication skills
• self-starter attitude with a cooperative approach

Requirements

• experience covering financial markets and/or debt finance
• basic understanding of finance
• willingness to study the dynamics driving the current boom in the private credit space
