Job Description

Debtwire, an ION Analytics company, is seeking a Legal Analyst to cover the North American market. The role involves publishing in-depth legal research on corporate restructuring issues, creating ad hoc reports, and providing same-day analysis of market events. The analyst will augment articles from the reporting desk and assist bankruptcy court reporters.

Responsibilities

• Publishing in-depth legal research on corporate restructuring
• Conceptualizing and executing ad hoc reports
• Producing same-day analysis of market-moving events
• Augmenting articles from reporting desk and data reports
• Assisting bankruptcy court reporters with news reports

Requirements

• J.D., journal membership preferred
• 3-5 years of experience at a law firm in corporate restructuring
• Substantial comprehension of restructuring legal issues
• Substantial comprehension of the Bankruptcy Code/Rules
• Comprehension of corporate finance issues in restructurings
• Familiarity with Debtwire product (a plus)
• Results-oriented attitude and collaborative work style
• Intellectual curiosity and passion for in-depth analysis
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Superior time management and multitasking abilities
