Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Infralogic team as a senior reporter, providing exclusive content on transactions (M&A and financing) in the power and energy infrastructure sector. This includes coverage of gas-fired power generation, midstream oil and gas assets, storage facilities, and LNG export facilities. The role involves close collaboration with the Infralogic energy team in the US.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with investors and other energy sector participants
• Track deal and firm activity, breaking news
• Generate ideas for longer-form coverage (sector trends, company profiles)
• Write four exclusive stories per week and one long-form piece per month
• Record one podcast episode per quarter
• Assist with ION Analytics' events (content creation, panel moderation)
• Collaborate with colleagues on content creation
• Maintain high copy standards and comply with group policies

Requirements

• Knowledge of financial markets and proven record of reporting exclusives
• Knowledge of the US energy sector and major players
• At least three years of reporting experience in a reputable newsroom with global exposure
• Proven record of breaking news and writing in-depth analyses
• Ability to spot trends in market data and conduct research
• Track record of building a network of sources
• Strong news and feature-length writing skills
• Ability to collaborate with other reporters
