Job Description

Pomelo Care is seeking a Director of Revenue Cycle to oversee the medical coding and billing function, ensuring accurate coding and billing for all services provided. The role involves leading a team, streamlining processes, collaborating with various teams, staying updated with coding regulations, tracking KPIs, and implementing process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of medical coding and billing managers and specialists
• Streamline internal processes and infrastructure for encounter coding and billing
• Collaborate with coding and billing team managers to build out trainings to support improved documentation for clinicians
• Stay up to date with coding regulations and changes in Medicaid rules
• Collaborate with partnerships, customer success teams, and health plan partners on coding or billing questions
• Track and report on billing and coding team KPIs
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in revenue cycle operations
• Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy of billing practices
• Work closely with Finance team on revenue reporting and reconciliation

Requirements

• 7+ years revenue cycle experience required
• Experience at a fast-growing healthcare startup
• Data-driven with accountability toward revenue cycle metrics
