Job Description

As a doula in the Pomelo network, you will educate and guide expecting and new families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. You will play a vital role in improving birth outcomes by ensuring that families feel supported and empowered during this transformative time.

Responsibilities

• Educate and guide expecting and new families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period
• Ensure that families feel supported and empowered during this transformative time
• Accept insurance hassle-free by credentialing with health plans
• Handle billing and admin paperwork
• Maintain a flexible schedule
• Grow client base with client outreach support
• Grow doula community

Requirements

• Completed certification / training as a birth and/or full spectrum doula from a Medi-Cal recognized organization
• Experience working as a doula with in-depth understanding of pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable using telehealth platforms, video conferencing tools, and electronic documentation systems
• Able to work virtually and in-person, as well as evenings and weekends
• Medi-Cal enrollment
• Doula certification or training
• NPI number
• Adult & Infant CPR from American Red Cross or AMA
• PAVE Letter
• Liability insurance
• Complete a background screening
