Job Description

Provide employment law advice, handle commercial disputes and litigation, and offer legal support. The role involves working with Legal, People, and Operations teams on multi-state and global issues, including employee relations, wage and hour issues, and HR policy creation. The candidate will also mitigate risk, manage investigations, and resolve commercial disputes.

Responsibilities

  • Offer advice on global employment matters
  • Create and manage global employment documents and policies
  • Create and deliver training related to risk mitigation and employment law
  • Develop and manage strategies regarding investigatory, pre-litigation and litigation matters
  • Collaborate to develop risk mitigation strategies for commercial legal risks
  • Monitor legal and policy developments
  • Leverage best practices and identify opportunities for efficiency

Requirements

  • JD with 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Expertise in US labor and employment laws
  • Experience in counseling on employment, commercial dispute, and risk mitigation
  • Experience in directing investigations and participating in litigation
  • Strong legal judgment and communication skills
  • Must be admitted and in good standing in any US jurisdiction
