Job Description

The Retail Manager is responsible for managing the Filson company retail store, ensuring excellent product quality, exceptional customer service, and store promotion. The manager also serves as a liaison for local community events.

Responsibilities

• Complete store operational requirements
• Select store staff
• Maintain store staff job results
• Achieve financial objectives
• Market merchandise
• Ensure availability of merchandise
• Ensure Filson Standards are met
• Protect employees and customers
• Responsible for overall store appearance
• Maintain operations
• Comply with legal requirements
• Work evenings, weekends and holidays
• Monitor and coach HR functions
• Administer policies and procedures
• Abide by Time & Attendance policy
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 18+ years old
• Exceptional selling skills
• 5+ years management in Retail Operations
• Management proficiency and leadership skills
• Tracking budgets expenses and financial acumen
• Self-motivated and Results Driven
• People development and growth plan experience
• Friendly and outgoing
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• PC based computer skills
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings
• Able to lift and carry a minimum of 30 pounds
• Able to reach overhead
• Able to pull clothing and luggage from shelves
• Able to bend, kneel, or stoop
• Able to stand for lengthy periods of time
• Some travel is required
