Job Description

Workato is looking for an exceptional Senior Manager, Strategic Events & User Groups, Developer Communities to build and run global community programs, hire and lead a community operations team, recruit and mentor community leaders, design and execute community strategy across various platforms, and moderate online forums.

Responsibilities

• Build and run Workato’s global community programs
• Hire and lead a community operations team
• Recruit, onboard, and mentor community leaders and champions
• Launch ambassador and champions programs
• Design and execute community strategy across Discord, GitHub, Reddit, X/Twitter, and in-person meetups
• Moderate online forums, surface insights, and route feedback to Product & Engineering

Requirements

• Experience managing a team of 6+ community professionals
• 5+ years building and nurturing developer communities at scale
• 5+ years of hands-on programmatic marketing
• Direct, end-to-end experience planning and executing in-person and virtual events
• Strong written voice and conflict-resolution skills
• Strong operational approach with metrics, structured processes, and holding teams accountable
• Empathetic community builder who nurtures inclusive spaces
