Job Description

As a Medical Director at Pair Team, you will play a critical role in supervising and supporting our team of Nurse Practitioners (NPs), owning the development and implementation of clinical policies and protocols, and collaborating closely with our Population Health team to ensure excellent outcomes for underserved communities. You will report to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and contribute to the strategic direction of the company’s clinical operations. This is a fully remote position with opportunities for in-person engagement. The role requires travel to represent Pair Team at conferences and with other partners and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise NPs and Physicians
• Develop and execute clinical protocols and policies
• Serve as a key clinical leader, collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Partner with the CMO to inform clinical strategy
• Serve as the escalation point for complex clinical questions
• Cultivate relationships with health plans and stakeholders

Requirements

• Board certification in Family or Internal Medicine (MD or DO) with active, unrestricted medical license in California
• 5+ years clinical experience, including 2+ years in leadership roles in safety-net settings
• Proven ability to develop and implement clinical protocols
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Passion for serving vulnerable populations
• Experience in telehealth or technology-enabled care is a plus
• Comfort in a fast-paced startup environment
