Job Description

ControlUp seeks an IT Engineer with 3-5 years' experience to provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth IT system operation. The role involves supporting daily operations, resolving technical problems, and contributing to IT projects. The ideal candidate is a team player, proactive, and embraces challenges and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues
  • Manage user accounts and access controls
  • Resolve IT support tickets
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows/macOS operating systems and applications
  • Support collaboration tools
  • Assist in employee onboarding/offboarding
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues
  • Document IT issues and solutions
  • Escalate complex issues
  • Assist with IT projects
  • Implement and manage endpoint management tools
  • Develop basic automation scripts

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of IT support/helpdesk experience
  • Experience with onboarding/offboarding processes
  • Active Directory, Group Policy, and user account management
  • Okta, Azure AD, and Google Workspace administration
  • Windows & macOS OS installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Endpoint management tools (ManageEngine, Intune, Jamf)
  • Networking basics (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VPN, LAN, Wi-Fi)
  • Virtualization and infrastructure (VMware, firewall/switch configuration)
  • Basic knowledge of PowerShell and/or Bash
  • Documentation skills
