Job Description

SoundCloud is seeking a technically skilled Product Manager to lead the consent and user preferences strategy. This role involves managing the Consent Management Platform (CMP), optimizing user preferences within the apps, ensuring compliance with global privacy rules, and collaborating with Engineering, Legal, Product, and Marketing teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize the Consent Management Platform (CMP)
• Integrate CMP and preference settings with web and app engineers
• Develop strategy for user consent and preference management
• Monitor evolving privacy regulations and translate them into technical solutions
• Provide technical privacy expertise for new initiatives
• Collaborate with Legal, Engineering, Marketing, and Product teams
• Create documentation for CMP and app preference features
• Monitor CMP performance and user engagement with preferences
• Maintain relationships with CMP vendors

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience managing Consent Management Platforms and user preference centers
• Experience with privacy management and data compliance platforms
• Proficiency in web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Ability to troubleshoot CMP and in-app preference configurations
• Familiarity with global data processing regulations
• Experience in an agile development environment
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
• Familiarity with tag management systems
• Privacy certification is a plus
