Job Description

Xometry seeks a Senior Solutions Engineer to support sales, providing technical expertise and project management within the automotive manufacturing community. This role involves customer engagement, pre-sales engineering, and driving account growth.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to drive account growth and retention
• Discover, illuminate, digest, organize and execute major projects
• Join Account Executives in onsite visits with customers when appropriate
• Proactively identify and address potential manufacturing challenges
• Stay informed about upcoming customer projects and initiatives
• Gather customer insights and feedback to inform sales strategies
• Assist Pre-Sales Engineering with knowledge gathering and compiling quotes
• Combine customer, partner, and system knowledge to address customer needs
• Provide project management and oversight on complex opportunities
• Fully own major projects
• Create, organize, and demonstrate cost breakdowns and statement of work documents

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience in automotive manufacturing and program management
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Experience using Xometry’s services from a customer perspective
• Deep familiarity with automotive industry methods, materials, culture, and products
• Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, including drawings and GDT
• Strong experience in Injection Molding
• Familiarity with industry certifications and practices
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel to customer and/or partner sites
• Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce
• Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
