Job Description

Xometry seeks a Senior Solutions Engineer to support sales by providing technical expertise and project management within the automotive and manufacturing sectors. This role involves customer engagement, technical knowledge, and project oversight to drive account growth and ensure alignment with Xometry's capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to drive account growth and retention
• Discover, illuminate, digest, organize and execute major projects
• Join Account Executives in onsite visits with customers
• Proactively identify and address potential manufacturing challenges
• Stay informed about upcoming customer projects and initiatives
• Gather customer insights and feedback to inform sales strategies
• Assist Pre-Sales Engineering with knowledge gathering, digestion, and compiling quotes
• Combine customer, partner, and system knowledge to address customer needs
• Provide project management and oversight on complex opportunities
• Fully own major projects
• Create, organize and demonstrate cost breakdowns and statement of work documents

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience in automotive manufacturing and program management
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Experience using Xometry’s services from a customer perspective
• Deep familiarity with automotive industry methods, materials, culture, and products
• Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, including drawings and GDT
• Strong experience in Injection Molding
• Familiarity with ISO9001, IATF 16949, APQP/PPAP and other industry certifications
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel to customer and/or partner sites
• Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce
• Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
