Xometry is seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Engineer for a customer-facing role, supporting Sales with technical expertise in the automotive and production engineering and manufacturing community.
Responsibilities
Partner with Account Executives to drive account growth and retention
Discover, illuminate, digest, organize and execute major projects
Join Account Executives in onsite visits with customers
Proactively identify and address potential manufacturing challenges
Stay informed about upcoming customer projects and initiatives
Gather customer insights and feedback to inform sales strategies
Assist Pre-Sales Engineering with knowledge gathering and compiling quotes
Combine customer, partner, and system knowledge to address customer needs
Provide project management and oversight on complex opportunities
Fully own major projects
Create, organize and demonstrate cost breakdowns and statement of work documents
Requirements
10+ years of relevant experience in automotive manufacturing and program management roles
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
Experience using Xometry’s services from a customer perspective
Deep familiarity with the methods, materials, culture and products of automotive organizations
Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, including drawings and GDT
Strong experience in Injection Molding
Familiarity with ISO9001, IATF 16949, APQP/PPAP and other industry certifications and practices
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Ability to travel to customer and/or partner sites
Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce
Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
