Job Description

Xometry is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to our sourcing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for using machine learning tools and techniques to construct, optimize, and evaluate predictive models that predict the likelihood of different business outcomes. Additionally, this person will use their knowledge of probability and statistics to make defensible statistical inferences from data.

Responsibilities

• Develop predictive models using data science and machine learning
• Write software for data preparation and cleaning
• Use cloud resources for data processing
• Query and extract data from databases
• Use data analysis and visualization tools
• Iterate solutions in a fast-paced environment
• Solve challenging problems
• Work in a team-oriented environment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• M.S. or Ph.D. in a related field highly desired
• 5+ years of experience with machine learning, statistical modeling, and optimization techniques
• Fluent in Python
• Proficient in linear algebra and statistics
• Familiar with scientific software principals
• Experience in the manufacturing industry is desired
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
