Job Description

Xometry is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead the technical design and engineering of systems to predict and remediate challenges in manufacturing customers’ parts. The role requires technical leadership and hands-on contribution in a collaborative, cross-functional, and rapidly iterating environment.

Responsibilities

• Hands-On Technical Leadership: Actively code, troubleshoot, and create documentation
• Teaching & Mentorship: Serve as a technical mentor and guide to engineers
• Code Review: Review code and mentor others on best practices
• Operational Excellence: Ensure delivery of superior infrastructure and software
• Collaborative Strategy: Forge partnerships with product managers and leadership
• Guide Innovation: Champion the adoption of cutting-edge technologies

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering
• Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred
• Proficiency in software engineering best practices
• Experience with cloud platforms and containerization technologies
• Experience designing and managing distributed computing systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
