Job Description

Xometry is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead the technical design and engineering of systems to predict and remediate challenges in manufacturing customers’ parts. This role requires technical leadership and hands-on contribution in a collaborative, cross-functional, and rapidly iterating environment.

Responsibilities

• Hands-On Technical Leadership: Actively code, troubleshoot, and create documentation.
• Teaching & Mentorship: Serve as a technical mentor to engineers.
• Code Review: Review code and mentor others on best practices.
• Operational Excellence: Ensure delivery of superior infrastructure and software.
• Collaborative Strategy: Forge partnerships with product managers and leadership.
• Guide Innovation: Champion the adoption of cutting-edge technologies.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in software engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred.
• Proficiency in software engineering best practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms and containerization technologies.
• Experience designing, building, and managing distributed computing systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.
• US Citizen or Green Card holder (ITAR).
