Job Description

Xometry seeks a Principal Software Engineer to lead the technical design and engineering of systems to predict and remediate challenges in manufacturing customers’ parts. This role requires technical leadership and hands-on contribution within a collaborative, cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example through coding, troubleshooting, documentation, and technical diagrams
• Serve as a technical mentor and guide to engineers
• Conduct code reviews and mentor on best practices
• Ensure delivery of superior infrastructure and software
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and leadership
• Champion the adoption of cutting-edge technologies

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred
• Proficiency in software engineering best practices
• Experience with cloud platforms and containerization technologies
• Experience designing and managing distributed computing systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels
• US Citizen or Green Card holder
