Job Description

Limit Break is seeking a Staff Unity Engineer to lead the development of a new mid-core, 3D mobile game. The role involves collaborating on the game's prototype, scaling the team, providing technical direction, and ensuring best practices are followed. This is a remote position offering the chance to shape the workflow and build a top-notch team for an ambitious gaming project.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical direction and guidance to the team
  • Write and review code, optimizing performance
  • Oversee the development process and set milestones
  • Lead the design and implementation of a new Unity 3D game project
  • Collaborate with design leads and team members to iterate on the game prototype
  • Work with different teams to identify focus areas and find solutions
  • Prioritize tasks and take on different roles as needed
  • Improve and enforce processes, pipelines, and best practices
  • Conduct code and architecture reviews
  • Explore and integrate new technologies

Requirements

  • B.S. in Computer Science or related field
  • 8-10 years of software engineering experience in live service mobile games
  • 5 years of experience with Unity 3D game development
  • Strong sense of initiative and ownership
  • Experience building a game from prototype to launch with Unity
  • Comfortable working across a range of technologies
  • Strong foundations in system architecture and software design
  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Roll up your sleeves mindset
