Job Description

Maven is seeking a strategic, collaborative, and business-minded Deputy General Counsel, Digital Healthcare to shape the future of digital health. This role involves providing healthcare, compliance, and privacy expertise, managing a team, and interacting with executives on regulatory and healthcare compliance initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic counsel on healthcare and regulatory considerations
• Lead and manage a team of legal professionals
• Develop and maintain healthcare compliance frameworks and privacy protocols
• Oversee privacy programs
• Manage healthcare compliance
• Act as a strategic legal partner
• Advise on contracting strategy
• Partner across legal teams

Requirements

• 12+ years of legal experience, including 5+ years in-house in healthcare or digital health
• Deep expertise in healthcare law, US and global privacy frameworks, and healthcare regulatory obligations
• Strong background in product counseling
• Track record of building or leading compliance programs
• Exceptional communicator and relationship builder
• Experience advising on legal and ethical implications of AI in healthcare is desired
• Comfortable with ambiguity and providing clear guidance in evolving regulatory landscapes
• Familiarity with privacy program management tools is a plus
